Ashley | Yes! The Musical

Maya had the incredible opportunity to originate the role of Ashley in the brand-new musical Yes!, inspired by the hit TV show Say Yes to the Dress. Ashley is a young bride caught between her own dreams and the demands of her bridezilla mother. She portrayed a character who is optimistic, diplomatic, and eager to please while still fighting for her voice in the wedding planning process premiering at Dream Nashville on April 26th!

“Maya Kaempf and Emma Texiera put their full arsenal of theatrical gifts on display as Ashley, the bride-to-be, and as Kayleigh, her best girlfriend and maid-of-honor. I wrote that if I could hear the two of them perform “Losing My Mind” and “Not A Day Goes By” on a loop for the rest of my life, I could die a happy man and I’m happy to say I still feel that way – they are extraordinary. In Yes, A Musical Comedy, both Kaempf and Texiera are perfectly cast, their versatility and confidence awe-inspiring.” - Review: YES THE MUSICAL at Dream Hote

Jane Doe | Ride the Cyclone

Maya is thrilled to make her regional theater debut with Street Theatre Company at The Barbershop Theater, starring as Jane Doe in their highly anticipated production of Ride the Cyclone, running from October 13-28. Known for its hauntingly beautiful music and darkly comedic storytelling, Ride the Cyclone is a thrilling and emotionally rich production, and Maya’s portrayal of Jane Doe promises to be both chilling and mesmerizing.

“Kaempf’s stunning voice is put on full display, along with her stellar acting abilities, in the role of “Jane Doe,” the decapitated victim of the roller coaster tragedy who has yet to be identified because her head hasn’t been found. Her stylized manner of moving and speaking helps create the illusion of her being headless (well, she seems more like a zombie – but what can you do?), while the complete impact of her performance is deeply felt.” - Street Theatre Company's RIDE THE CYCLONE May Be the Best Thing We've Seen in 2023
